Rough way to get time off work

my wife did attempt natural child birth at first, until the pain hit, then it was GIVE ME SOMETHING NOW! the second time around we skipped lets do the natural thing.

I've had epidurals without anithesia before. nasty things! never again!

1st child was "emergency" C-section - full knock-out.

2nd child was "natural"; she only had the IV - no epi. [img]eek.gif[/img] Labor came too quickly / Anaesthesiaologist too slow.

My favorite quote during that labor was

Wife: "I <u>need</u> the epidural!"
Nurse: "The Doctor said you're too far along and cant have an epi."
Wife: "Where's the Doctor. I just want to talk to her...!"

Chaser, I swear you and I have the same luck as far as our wives go..mine's my medical trooper too... My first epidural was pretty bad when I was
hospitalized after my accident..the damn dude kept missing the mark [img]graemlins/whatever.gif[/img] I will never play THAT game again. I do have the pleasure of looking forward to a big needle into my hip in two weeks. My cortisone shots weren't doing the trick for my hip, so they decided to try something new last time..I had no idea what was happening..then the needle went in..and kept going in..and in...etc. When it was done I was like "OK, now that was fun" and my PA looked at me and smiled as she was holding the 6 inch needle she had just pulled out of me [img]eek.gif[/img]
Apparently, my bursa runs deep, so they used a spinal needle [img]graemlins/whatever.gif[/img] Can't wait for my next appointment [img]graemlins/grrr.gif[/img]

is it weird that I like the pain.. last time I got a needl I was really looking at it when the nurs put the needle in..a well that just me ..the freaky swede..turns on on everything [img]wink.gif[/img]
